Small Scale Ice Formations along the Bow River and Three Sisters Creek

Over Christmas break, we went out walking in Canmore just about every day. Looking back at the hundreds of photos we took, I noticed that we frequently pointed our cameras at some of the small scale ice formations that have formed along Three Sisters Creek and the Bow River. For your viewing pleasure, here are a few of my favourites:

It’ll be a couple weeks before we can get back out for another walk and I wonder whether the well-above-freezing temperatures over the past few days will have erased some of these sites, or whether winter will come back and create new ice sculptures for our enjoyment?
